Hilary Baker’s “Ventura” explores the evolving urban and rural habitats of local wildlife\, while Sara Carlson’s ceramics reflect the tactile aesthetics of the region. Ray Harris’s “Ventura County Fair” captures the spirit of a cherished annual event\, and teen artist Wren Stepan’s “Queer Joy” provides an insightful glimpse into the county’s diverse identity. \nThe exhibit culminates with a mural conceived and executed by Vita Art Center Teens\, encapsulating the collective memory of Ventura County. SUMMARY:The 150th Anniversary Tent Featuring Open Door Studio at Artwalk Ventura
DESCRIPTION:Heading to Artwalk Ventura on Saturday\, September 23?   Make sure to stop by the Museum of Ventura County in Downtown Ventura to check out the 150th Anniversary Tent\, staffed by Open Door Studio.    They’ll be leading inclusive and accessible arts activities from 11 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. (Saturday only) on the Museum Plaza. \n2023 marks the return of ArtWalk Ventura to the city’s westside and downtown areas.  Taking place Saturday\, September 23 and Sunday September 24\, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.\, Artwalk Ventura will feature nearly 40 exhibiting venues and over 50 artists.  The event will also feature art installations\, live performances\, and more.    Visit the ArtWalk Ventura website for a complete list of venues\, performances\, and exhibits.
